The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That should round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
