Who Is Tab Trade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

This is the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you commit.
